What I did: Sent a weird, shit-disgusting page with a misleading link to Joel and Sly. Reason: I thought it was pretty funny. Misleading link which ends up at a disturbing animated crap with annoying music.
And so the next day, I got preached by Pope Yap the Zealous, saying how it's wrong and he finds it very offensive. Okay, fine. I apologized. My bad for being an insensitive freak right? He got so pissed probably because it was after he quoted one fucking lump of text from the bible about sexuality. I must say, it was full of bullocks to me. Your body belongs to god. This belongs to god, that belongs to god. GIVE ME SOMETHING I CAN OWN DAMNNIT, OTHER THAN MY OWN THOUGHTS. Wait, do my thoughts even belong to me?
Then he goes on to say "You may find it funny, but as a Christian I think it is VERY MORALLY OFFENSIVE!!!!111oneoneoneplusoneequalstwo"
Hello? The web page was linked to me by a guild mate in WoW. I don't have the numbers, but last I remembered, a crap load of people in America are christians. There must have at least been ONE christian in the guild at that time, right? Well guess what? Everyone went "WTF that's some sick shit dude." or "I've set that as my home page." "I'm at 70 spins now."
It was taken with nothing more than a grain of salt. We laughed and got over it.
Joel's response? The typical type I get from christians whenever I try to make a point about my beliefs. "You are mortal, you do not understand." "The people who did the crusades were wrong." "Those christians who bombed the abortion clinic were led astray."
So his reply? "Those people are WRONG. I don't care about them. I only care about myself!"
WAIT! Last I remembered, god didn't teach y'all to be self-centered pricks, right?
Also, I asked "So you find gays morally wrong?"
"No, I don't feel gays are wrong. It's the act of being gay that is morally wrong."
WTF was that supposed to mean?
Typical christian hypocrisy. I hate making sweeping statements, but I just see it so rampant.
