And so, after an exhausting day at school, we set off for our Great Journey. To where? LIDO! For what? Collect the Kane Edition of Command and Conquer 3! With a free Razer mousepad! /geekasm.
If any of you every been to Lido, you'll know how the 5th floor (Cineplex) looks like. It's basically one whole circle, with a bunch of shops selling food and a cinema entrance. The queue stretched from the whole of the cinema entrance to around the circle before looping around a passageway is a U shape.
That's well over 300 people!
Before god sets man on a journey, he usually gives them a really difficult test. So, being devoted zealots, we queued. Turns were taken in buying Subway sandwiches, which was to serve as our lunch as we zipped there immediately after school ended. ("Hai.. you all ah...." -Mc) It was noisy, stuffy and our stomachs were whining, but still we preservered.
Sounds like a journey of the fantastic four eh?
Here's where we bag that obnoxious award.
I suggested going to the console area to check the games out, as Brian was horribly bored, (He came to check the place out.) and Brandy to act as his escort. Well, Brian got shoo'ed away halfway there, whereas there was some weird hole in the caramel syrup-thick sea of sweaty people.
LO AND BEHOLD! A DAMN SHORTCUT.
LMAO. You bet we'd exploit it. Phone calls were made over hushed whispers as we planned our devious little plot. Sly left the queue to meet Brandon. The two fellas behind me were glaring at the both of us, wondering what we were up to. Whatever, lawl.
A lil' later, Sly came back and grabbed my redemption cards. The two people were seriously staring at us. I could feel their piercing glare from behind my head, lol. Betcha they knew what we were up to.
And a lil' after that, Sly came back with two copies of the game with a ton of freebies. We instantly turned to cowards and beat feet out of that hellish place.
Staring ensued. ROFL...
