So after a long time, I got out of my house and went into a building that wasn't another house. Or have electronic stuff I could use to entertain myself with. Yay.

NDC. I'm telling you, don't ever be late for your damn appointment. If it's unavoidable, bring a book. Hell, I sat there for 1/2 an hour rotting. Thank god I at least had a phone to keep me company.

Didn't bring my ear plugs. Mummy told me to get ready at 3.30, but I wanted to scare her. So when she came home she shouted "IAAANNN! Where are you?"

I said "HUH? Oh wait. Give me 5 minutes to bathe."

God. Worst joke ever. She screamed "WHAT? FIVE MINUTES? NO TIME LIAO."

I ran down without my earplugs to calm her down. )':

Yes. After my appointment mummy was with Mae for her back problem... I waited about 45 minutes at the info counter T_T. Worst 45 minutes ever.

Heck, at least I got out of the house. My braces are green and red now! :D

EDIT: Lmao EYE plugs.

Roarz. I'm back. New skin courtesy of my sister. It's simple and clean. A little emo, but clean nonetheless.

Nothing today. Ran through MC like a zombie, played PS 2 with my bro and his friends then went to the park for a walk. Was quite refreshing. Guess I should do that more often...

Yup. Went to my neighbour's place (Who is also my bro's friend.) after what seemed like ages. His sister (eldest, same age) had a friend over. She asked "who's that?" She replied "just someone." Aww. I'm such a horrid person? ): Maybe the visit was unexpected. I was too afraid to say good bye. Haha. Like I'm intruding.

Love the new skin. CO tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

Decided to put all the photos at one shot. Scroll down for the blog.

COUSIN CHARMAINE! Cute right? (x

My crystal goat! Thanks mummy! (:

DON'T FORGET TO READ THE BLOG ENTRY FOR THE DAY! (Scroll down.)

12:15 am
YAY! Mummy and Daddy are back from Europe. Mae had a lot more stuff than me, but I got a crystal goat thingy. Tomorrow, I'll take a picture and put it up. It's beautiful :D. And and I got a swiss knife (x. Better keep that away from my daughter.. she has genocidal tendencies >.>.

Finished with "Keeping Faith" the day I posted about it.. yes it's that good. It's now with Darren due to the generosity of my daughter :D.

Okay okay. Molten Core tomorrow, so I better sleep earlier. CO on Thursday. Hopefully I can get my hair cut. (It's uber long and messy now. Y'all know how I look with long hair. Weird sideburns that jut out a good 3 - 4cm. I'm serious.)

About halfway done with Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult. It's a very very nice read. You know, sometimes, when you read certain books.. it just makes you feel different. You get a little emotional, judging the characters and all. Sometimes you wish you could do something to help some of the characters, or plan out a devious deed to smite the assholes.

Ya, been awhile since I read a book that makes me go like that. I can't quite put my finger on it, I don't even roughly know -why- the book has managed to capture my attention. It just did.

Basically, it's about a really screwed up family. As usual, the husband is seeing another women, yes they have a 7 year old child. Wife suffers from clinical depression, divorce is filed etc.

But one thing. The child starts seeing God, performs miracle healings and has a stigmata.

Now, I'm an atheist. (By some freak coincidence, one of the main characters is a tele-atheist named Ian.) I originally thought it'd be some book glorifying Christ. Needless to say I was wrong. Anyone can pick it up and give it a go. (Unless you're some truely devoted Christian/Catholic who frowns upon Harry Potter and think Pac-man is demonic.)

On a more boring note, we pushed Blackwing Lair for 4hours+ today. God I'm tired. Razorgore down. Vaelastrasz down. Broodlord Lashlayer down. No drops for me. GG. Oh yea, my mouth still hurts.
did i do the right thing? hope everything's okay and not just a web of deceit...

12:25 am
My ulcer still hurts. Oh I can eat rice now. Just hurts like hell when it gets stuck in my braces and have to rinse hard to get it out. Yea it still hurts. Halp meh.

Brian came over to mooch on me again. Darren was supposed to, too but guess who ditched us. You got it. Tuition at the last minute. Why am I not surprised.

Planned out the equipment we're shooting for so there's no clash. Plus we can farm honor together, so it won't be too horrible a grind. All other classes get their new talents. Warriors have only passive stuff AND normalized rage. We're screwed.

I'm gonna lose my readership if I keep blogging about WoW stuff. I need to get out more.

Oh yeah, my ulcer hurts.

EDIT: I just found out Basil Poledouris passed away on the 8th of November 2006. I was just reading about him not too long ago. Say 2 months? Needless to say the world will miss this great musical talent. For those who don't know, he's the one who composed for movies which range from Free Willy to Starship Troopers. /salute.

My lower left gum hurts like hell. Feel like it's been cut by a razor. Must be a gigantomous ulcer. I'm in pain. I can't eat anything except bread, porridge and noodles in soup. Someone help me.

That is all.

12:06 am
Typical boring day. Sat my ass down on the PC. MC and the rest went for a DotA competition at Zion and finished third.

MC didn't seem too pleased. According to him, it was a winning game. I feel ya buddy. Losing a winning game is not fun. It's not just touching a raw-nerve. More of nerve-wracking. Or simple hella pissing. I feel ya.

For me, I raided with the guild into Molten Core. Finished it in record time. 4 hours. Got myself an epic Boots of Might. Got tired and napped before playing a few games with Jarrett. The poor guy doesn't have his brother to play with anymore. Oh the evils of WoW.

Yeah. Friend of mine was saying how girls of the world should unite and sue Blizzard for stealing their boy friends. Lol. Eh, it's true. I quote my guild mate "Brb, GF aggro."

Basically, aggro in WoW = how much a monster hates you, or the act of engaging a monster.

Guess that's it for today. I'm putting my 40 mage on the backburner. Gotta farm honor for my warrior. Honor system getting revamped. Much easier to get the epic loot.

Broke camp today. Oh crap I'm bushed. Legs aching and eyes droopy. Nothing too special, just a CO camp. Nightwalk was mildly amusing. Gotta give it to the committee for setting up the nightwalk checkpoints and props to scare the bejesus out of the walkers.

I got smart though. I put on my ear phones and increased the volume to slightly above my norm, then proceeded to walk nonchalantly towards checkpoints. It got pretty spooky at the dark areas though. We were forced to watch the Japanese version of The Ring. It's a pretty sad story, scares aside. Killed by your own father.. that's pretty brutal.

After the movie, there's always this "trash talk" session. Seniors/Committees would sit on desks and since it's pretty much pit dark, it adds to the tension. Then they would proceed to share with you a crapload of bullshit. Soo one of them alumni came back and asked "You know what happens when you wake a person up halfway when he is asleep? His soul.."

I raised my hand and cut him off. "He gets up and gets really really pissed off with you before proceeding to tell you to screw off." True yes? Then he started asking for my name which I gladly gave. (Hey I like mine. Better than his. Some hard-to-remember chinese name.) He made me go second (which I didn't care, really.)

My actions were justified. He asked a question, I raised my hand and answered. Then he continued "..their souls come out and they become retarded like that person just now." Bad move. I didn't really offend him directly. I protested. (I tend to pass witty shit when under stress. their fault for forcing me through it.)

ROFL. He went like "Eh not happy come settle in the morning." Kinda spells out his civility and temper control. Y'all be the judge. Thank god Wayne was there to put him in place. He's amazing. 3 years younger and gets him to shut up. I'm rather afraid of his connections sometimes. Oh, and we bought a burger for him. No word of thanks. That's fine. I told him "You're welcome." in advance.

Those are about the only major events. Had a bit of practice now and then, played basketball when we had time.

Overall pretty satisfying. A nice change of scenery. Will upload some pictures when I get some rest. Ta.

8:13 pm
Since my parents are out of town, today's Sunday was a little different, and a lot more tiring.

Aunt roused me forcefully from my slumber. Apparently, we're going bowling. Fine by me. If we weren't doing anything, I'd have just sat my ass on the PC and level my character in the WoW expansion beta.

Then my brother suddenly said he wanted to follow his friend to swimming. Right. It's a SUNDAY. He knew very well what it meant. I told him no. Then he replied to his friend "I can't go, because some PERSON said I cannot." Wow. Don't piss anyone off in the morning. It's bad.

I shouted at him. He started tearing up. Then he put me to his friend's mother. I explained to her nicely how he's also been the trouble maker for Sunday family outings. I even asked her if such outings were commonplace in her family and she only affirmed it. Then he started crying. Geez. Wimp.

Anyway, we took a London cab to some Marine Cove bowling thingy. I helped my lil sis (6 years old) bowl for one round. My first was a strike. Woo. Awesome. Or not. Beginner's luck.

I joined in the next game. I found out I bowl with all the grace and finesse of a truck. Yes, it's true. Got a miserable 31 out of a maximum of 300. Rofl. It's okay if I like style. Pins go down, I'm happy. But I got neither. Way to suck.

Next game. I'm back with a vengeance. I got a new ball. Rawr. Know what sucks? The balls (Shh. You know what I mean.) which have the right-sized thumb hole are too heavy, whereas the ones with perfect weight have holes the size of a pixel. (You KNOW what I mean. Stop laughing. How else can I describe it damnnit.)

Bowled a 81. GO ME. Wrist dying. Color of my thumb went from red to slightly purple. I think I'm handling the ball wrong, but whatever. I had fun. Oh yeah, I listened to music while bowling. Seems to help. Had sixty-something the next game. Not too shabby.

Met up with my other aunt before heading to east coast to cycle. Her baby girl is SOOOO cute. And naughty. Charmaine loves to grab my glasses, drink and phone. Got a short clip of her. Will post when I get back from camp.

Got back home with a headache. Nuuu. Migraine FTL. Panadol time. Peace out.

Another day with my ass in front of the PC.

Well I was SUPPOSED to go to CO and play bball with mc and all, but I figured one thing. If I show up and Mike Chiang sees me, he'll notice my absence from future practices. I'm not intelligent, but I'm not dumb either. So no, I didn't go to CO.

One big thing today though. I got into the bloody Burning Crusade beta. That is bloody incredible. No one else I know has gotten an invite yet. According to Blizzard, closed beta testers are handpicked. Factors can range from playtime, (has to be at least one year though, from what I heard.) location, guild progress. Basically anything. Way to go Blizz. Love ya big time.

My mind was in a whirl when I saw the invite. Imagine the possibilities. All that new content. I'm gonna sink into a whole new level of addiction. xD

With the good comes the bad. The beta file is 2 gigabytes. Blizzard's a cheapskate. Despite earning so much, they refuse to provide FTP servers. O noes world has fallen down. What to do? Resort to P2P. So we're forced to use a bittorrent system, only we can't control the settings.

Lag-a-thon. Yep. Reduced to play DragonFable =\. It's an Adventure Quest game. Someone help me.

Parents went off to Europe. No one's gonna fetch me to school now. Boo, =\ Well the bus ain't all bad, least there's air-con. The one thing that really gets to me though, is that I can only take one bus. Waiting at the bus stop under the cool, breezy afternoon sun after you've taken a shower is really really fun. It's like having a second shower! /sarcasmoff

Which makes going to CO a very very.. annoying experience.

So there's gonna be a CO camp. I guess if my buddies are going, it won't make sense for me to skip camp. If it happens on a raid day and my loot drops.. I'm gonna /wrist. I swear. (That's the action of slitting your wrist, for those who aren't acquainted with WoW forums.)

Helped MC with putting music on his blog. There was someone a lot more experienced, but he didn't want to trouble that someone. Bleh =\. Well, least it refreshed my memory on how to put stuff onto your blog. Thanks to my sis too.

I love rainy weather. But not when it gets in the way of your laundry.

9:07 pm
WOO. Tired. Long day today, though there weren't many activities.

Only one major thing, and it nearly killed me. BASKETBALL! <3 style="font-style: italic;">exactly playing basketball, but close enough.

Had plenty of shooting under the net practice, success rate only 40% though =\. Oh well, I'll get there. Then we played 2 games. Now that, that's the crazy part. Anyone who knows me is aware that my fitness level is comparable to a pig's, only a pig is slightly more adapt at sports. Heck, I was standing under the basket all the time. I got tired. Before anyone. That should paint a pretty clear picture.

Like I said, it was a pseudo-game, because only I could score and both Wayne and MC had to pass to me. All the while Wayne tried to tell me to "get behind him, he'll screen for me." Simple enough. In theory yes, it's easy. But there were moving opponents =\. Plus my 40% success rate drops to around.. 5% when there's someone pressuring me. At least I can push them aside T_T.

Looks like I'm gonna sleep really really well tonight. Feet are busted, eyelids are slack, but satisfaction is at an all time high. High five to MC, Wayne and MX =D

12:00 am
Sunday is family day, as usual. Though today was slightly different. Woke up reaaally late thanks to the late night show MC and I watched. (Yea, Darren and MC slept over. Completed Gears of War yesterday, too.) Like 12.30 pm late. Forced Darren to attend church 5 hours prior to waking up, so he wasn't with us.

So anyway, my folks told MC to join us for lunch. Well, free meal at Sakae. Who in the right mind would turn it down? =P Think he regretted the meal though. He got interrogated by daddy and mummy. Was the target of some gags too. Good. Another target dummy other than me.

Both of us finished early and decided to walk around Parkway. No, there's nothing really to see at that place. No idea why it's so crowded. Accessibility I guess. Not like places in Singapore aren't already easily reached. Maybe it has everything and anything a family would need. Caters to middle-income working class people. So yea, nightmare on Sundays.

Anyway, Parkway had this event thingy. One person would volunteer to go up on stage and say "Rich to goooo...." until they ran out of breath. Longest fella would win a prize. An auntie in her 60s came up on stage. Hella funny.

Went home not long after. WoW-ed until I blogged. Oh, I saw this new blogger thing. Anyone switched yet? Any reason not to? Post in comments/tagboard. Much-o thanks.

EDIT: Killed the music. Got too boring and annoying anyway. New one maybe? What say y'all?

I am teh roxx0rs at basketball. Oh, ever heard of liars?

Le sigh. So tough playing basketball. After awhile I get tired, then everyone was like "Eh? You hardly ran around." Oh noes =\. Oh yea, I once mentioned I wasn't a full player? Maybe like.. half? Ain't this case any longer. I'm a NEGATIVE player.

That's right, a 2v2 would become a 1v3. It's -that bad-. Nevermind! I have willing and encouraging friends. Lucky me. I admit, it was pretty fun, though I was somewhat gimp. Okay, basketball will now be my sport. Gonna update my profile =D.

Took mummy's car home. After MC was dropped off, mummy was talking about how lucky I was and stuff.. then I commented she was leaving soon. She popped a question "Sometimes I wonder whether you all really miss me or miss the convenience I provide."

Well, I was kinda hurt, but it isn't unreasonable. Ah well. Told her she could find the answer for herself, pecked her on the cheek then hopped out of the car.

Guess that's all for today. Heading to Vivo again on Saturday to accompany MC. Gonna drag Darren's ass along. Book fair gonna be fun.

Whatever it is, I'm behind ya. Cheer up.

Nothing much today. Went for CO today. Don't ask why. Someone's been very persuasive. Let's leave it at that.

As usual, when I show up for CO practice, it's to catch up with my mates. Oh and slack around, telling the juniors why NOT to stay in CO. It's so boring without Yi Heng. Wanted to stay for some basketball. Weather was a bitch. Hurray. Hope you had fun getting wet by yourself, MC.

Went home and grinded my mage. Then mummy called me to watch a new television series.. seemed kind of interesting. Until daddy came in and started ranting about my posture T_T. About how I slouch, that I find it comfortable but it looks awkward, that I shouldn't justify it but rather attempt to change it.

Fine, I admit it. I'm a rather arrogant person. Didn't sit well with me at first, but I'M A SUPERTEEN! So yes. I'll learn from daddy and put more effort into it next time. You guys MUST help me with it too. Just tag if you feel I slouch too much and stuff. Be brutally honest. I can take it. *Braces self.*

Sheryl reminded me of my results. Yes, they suck pretty bad. I know. It's one week worth of preparation, I reaped what I sowed. Too bad. Then I realized I'm just justifying everything I do, as usual. Nope. Not this time. Results suck hard. I'm gonna change it. L1R5 <10 next year.

It's an uphill battle. But I'll triumph with y'all =D.

11:12 pm
Decided to split the posts. The previous one got rather long. No one likes to read a wall of text.

Today is SUNDAY! That means family day. My brother was like so sulky and stuff. Pissed everyone off. I spoke to him and he started whining and tearing up. I wasn't harsh or anything, but that fella can't take the slightest bit of pain (I did NOT hit him. Just him in general) nor lectures. He'll just tear up and cry.

So anyway, we went to Funan for lunch. I felt really sad when I ordered my drink. I told the cashier what I wanted, then paid the money. Upon receiving my change, I thanked her and took it with both hands. She got shocked and looked up, giving me an odd look. I reacted by giving her a smile, then walked off.

That reminded me of yesterday's incident, where MC and I spoke to an elderly cleaner. He immediately said "You two aren't local, right?" Then he told us that trays were rather heavy. I carried one and got a shock. Indeed, they were rather heavy. I felt got a little soul sick when I thought of him carrying those everyday.

So I ask. Where has all the kindness and care gone to? Yes, they are service staff. Yes, they don't earn much. No, it is not a job to be proud of. But please, they are your elders. They have lived longer than you have. They saw Singapore through the rapid changes. All those ah mas and ah gongs are the building blocks of Singapore. You are nothing without them. Yet I don't even see the slightest of appreciation.

Be honest. How many of you actually thank that elderly cleaner? Or bother to clear up that bloody mess you made in McDonald's? Most just don't care. "Why clear the tray? The cleaners will do it." My friend would comment. That just makes me sick. Can you BEAR to see them do it?

A little smile goes a long way. Just give them a word of thanks, lighten their load if you can. Give them a warm sincere smile from the heart. It will brighten up their day. I don't care who you are or how you look like. When you smile from the bottom of your heart, you're the most beautiful person in the world.

For once, just please, think of them.

10:29 pm
Didn't blog yesterday, so I'll combine both days into this post. Was too tired.

Yup. So we went to the movies yesterday. I don't know how Chester does his planning, but we were supposed to cab to Paya Lebar MRT Station then take a train to Plaza Sing. Talk about nonsense.

Ignored him and headed straight to Plaza Sing with Darren. Met MC there then the whole lot of us went to the arcade. We were SUPPOSED to watch Deathnote. But NOOOOOOO... Chester HAD to be late. MC HAD to be late. And Chester's the organizer. Next time, I'm not gonna care about the time too. No siree.

Wasted time at the arcade. Just couldn't find a game fun enough to play. House of the Dead 4 looked fun.. but there were like a billion people watching you play. That was all fine and dandy, but it was right at the ENTRANCE of the arcade. Put me off. A lot.

So I ended changing my 5 bucks for nothing. Thank god they're all $1 coins.

Settled for Flushed Away, then went for dinner at the food court. Met xiao gou over there. Don't kill me Bryan. Please (x. You know it's all in good fun =D. Fun fact: Bryan sports Adidas stuff 150% of the time. According to him, it's sponsored by the kind folks at Adidas themselves.

Oh, and if you're gonna have to sit seperately, don't sit with Chester or Bobby. The McDonald's stunt wasn't enough. They played some weird Indian song during the commercials. I almost choked on my nachos trying to suppress my laughter.

On to the movie itself. It's your basic animated movie with lots of funny scenes thrown inside. Comic relief from start to finish. Not that it's bad... just old. Hey, least both Ian McKellen and Hugh Jackman were voice acting. I also noticed something. There was a quite a bit of British humor.. so most of the audience couldn't get it. What was shocking, however, was the inability of Singaporeans to grasp any humor beyond face value.

For instance, at one scene, the big bad toad ate a fly. Then the fly flew (pun?) out of his mouth. The toad swallowed it quickly and said "Sorry, my fly's undone." It was a double entendre. Meaning, a spoken phrase that can be understood in either of two ways, the second usually being slightly risque. Yet I was the only one who laughed. The movie had quite a few. None of which the audience could really catch. Sad.

We opted out of the second movie. Too tired. Went home and the rest is history.

Nope, I haven't been slacking. In fact, I've been hard at work grinding my alt in WoW. From Level 22 to 26, then 26 to 30. In two days. Quite remarkable, if you ask me. I HAVE TO CHASE UP TO DARREN. Bleh. Bugger won't wait.

Anyway, nothing interesting has happened. Haven't gone out since the holidays started. I need some fresh air. Gonna die staying at home like that. Well, planning a WoW players night out soon, gonna watch The Prestige. Heard it's a good show. There's Hugh Jackman. <3. No, I'm not gay.

Welcome home Lyn. Hope you enjoyed your stay at the chalet. Everytime you message me, when I get back, you're already offline. So sorry about that. Parents are coming from China soon. Looks like it's nagging season. Not that I don't miss them... but I'd much rather forgo the nagging.

As a sidenote, tomorrow's the last lesson of Tien Hsia. Mixed feelings, really. On one hand, it's another day with no tuition or activities, on the other, I'm losing what I've had since I was 8. Plus the teacher whom I've been with for 2 years is now in labour. Don't even know if it's a boy or girl. Mind's in a mess. Wondering or not to get a souvenir for Ethel. Afterall, it's been two years. Ah well. We'll see, we'll see.
